Immigration Documents

As an international student it is your responsibility to review all of the information indicated on your immigration documents to ensure accuracy and validity as well as to maintain a non-immigrant status.

You must:

1. Inform to the Office of International Education if any of the information of your immigration documentation is incorrect, has changed (e.g., name, finances) or an updated I-20/DS-2019 need to be issued.
2. Monitor all document expiration dates and seek document renewal or extension in a timely manner.
3. Maintain a personal file of all of your immigration documentation: current and previous I-20's/ DS-2019s; copies of your SEVIS fee receipt, passport, visa, I-94, Employment Authorization Document (EAD) etc).

Keep in mind that you will have to provide copies for document updates and immigration benefit applications.

1- Form I-20A-B: Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student Status-For Academic and Language Students

2- DS-2019 (J-1 student status): Certificate of eligibility for exchange visitor status

3- Passport

4- Visa

5- I-94: Record of Arrival & Departure
