Things to do upon arriving to Syracuse

As soon as you arrive to Syracuse you must do the following:

1. Check-In at ESF Office of International Education (302 Bray Hall): bring a passport-size photo (if you have not already submitted one via email) and all of your (and your dependent’s) immigration documents with you when you come to check-in (e.g., I-20/DS-2019, passport, I-94 card, visa).

2. Check-In at the Slutzker Center for International Services (at Syracuse University): get the ESF welcome folder and get the clearence form.

3. Attend the New Student Arrival Seminar (NSAS) at the Slutzker Center for International Services

4. Complete the required clearance form activities and obtain signatures: to hand in at the ESF International Student Orientation.

5. Attend ESF International Student Orientation: all new international students must attend this orientation. See programmed dates.

6. Present English Language Assessment Exam (ELAE): only by all new undergraduate students, and graduate students with TOEFL score under 600 (paper based test); under 250 (computerized test); or under 100 (internet-based, IBT). See programmed dates.

7. Complete the Medical Clearance: submit immunization and medical history at the Syracuse University's Health Services Center. Complete the required Tuberculosis screening.

8. Graduate Students with Assistantships: Complete I-9 Employment Eligibility Process with Human Resources (101 Bray Hall)
